Turf Wars

Pulling into my neighborhood I saw some children I babysit for were selling lemonade. Deciding to give them my business and have a quick chat with their mother, I grabbed a dollar and headed across the street. I spent several minutes chatting with my neighbor and sipping "Fresh Squeezed" Lemonade. Suddenly three other kids appeared, claiming they were selling lemonade down the road for less. The oldest child, an old Montessori student from my first teacher's aide job, was surprised to see me. I felt the same way. His sister suggested bringing up their lemonade stand to sell from the opposite sidewalk. This made the children I babysit for really upset. They starting yelling at the other kids and the two adults (myself and the mother) had to break them up. The little boy looked up at me and said "Is that even legal?"

*blink* I had to stifle my laughter and I noticed the mother on the verge of cracking up as well. It was the cutest thing ever. Certainly made my day so far, considering I am now at my part-time job and the only time I have sat down today was to eat lunch. I feel so tired and I hoping for a quiet night. Oh well, I better pay attention just in case a customer appears. Wish me luck!

Always,
Becca
